This is Henny Sigurjonsdottir, 27 and lives in Reykjavik, in my (our?) apartment actually. She is the mother of the prettiest two children you?ll ever see and the best looking makeup artist you?ll ever encounter. She?s my wife for the last 5 years and if everything goes according to plan, for the next 500 years as well, provided we both live that long.

We decided to do this shot very early in the week as everyone is up to their ears in christmas preparations and Eva Hronn, Hennys friend, got to decide what we were going to do and did all the makeup on Henny. Well she pulled up this image of Angelina Jolie wich actually didn?t look a whole lot like this shot, beside the blood and the crazy/hungry eye expression.

Lighting is just two lights with this one, really blew out the backround with one light and had a big softbox behind me (you can see my silhouette in her eyes) straight on Hennys face. Decided to use the 50mm lens I don?t often use anymore in the studio, but I wanted to get real close and get that "in your face" look. Really wish I had seen that photo of Angelina beforehand though as I would have borrowed a ringlight, that would have been perfect to light this shot but c?est la vie.

Only one week to go now, anyone care to guess who I am going to photograph for the last week? Who is missing from this series...

Today was exhausting. Long day of teaching and then I got groceries. I had my second busiest office hours ever. But hey, my eye makeup still looks cool!

Corrected: Apparently I was so exhausted I switched a picture from 4/20 with one for 4/25. I just realized this (4/29) and am fixing it. New day 15 about to go up!
